A LAMENT FOR UKRAINE
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children,
at risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
Amen.

Our History
For over 99 Years we have been part of Village life. Find out how it all started and read some of the amazing stories of God's provision and guidance over those years!
Our church is situated just off the London Road opposite a road sign reading Evangelical Church. Founded in 1924, the simple place of worship was erected in 1926, and it has remained the focal point for many Christians in the village ever since. Beside the wooden church (or chapel, as it is sometimes known locally) is a manse built in the 1990s. And behind the church and manse is land which is at present largely given over to allotments.
Abridge Village Church is a registered charity
